Solah Somvar Udyapan Puja

Solah Somvar Vrat is performed by doing Upwas and Puja to Lord Shankarji for 16 Mondays. 17th Monday Udyapan is done for successful completion of the Sankalp for 16 Somvar Vrat. Young ladies who are willing to get a good husband can perform this Vrat, or for those whose marriage is getting delayed, married ladies can also do this vrat for Happy Dampatya and get Lord Shivji blessings. 

This Vrat can be started in the Shukla Paksha Monday in any month or Shravan month Monday. During the menstrual cycle, this vrat must not be performed.

Somvar Vrat Udyapan is performed by doing Gauri Ganesh Kalash Matrika Puja, Navgraha puja. Lingatobadra puja, Shiv Parivar Puja, Rudrabhishek are performed on Shivling. Katha Shravanam is conducted and Havan is performed. Later Yatha Shakti Daan and Dakshina are given to the Brahmins who perform the Udyapan Puja.

Solah Somvar Udyapan is performed on 17th Monday after successful completion of 16 Somvar vrat.
